Convert PNG to JPG and cut the file size

Screenshots and exported graphics are often PNG by default, which is fine for quality and terrible for email attachments, upload forms and page weight.

0 = keep original
0 = use quality

How it works

  1. Drop your files. HEIC, HEIF, JPG, PNG or WebP. Batch and folder drops both work.
  2. Pick the output. Choose the format, quality, max edge, or a hard size limit in KB.
  3. Download. One file at a time, or everything as a single ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.

What you lose in a PNG to JPG conversion

Alpha transparency. JPG has no alpha channel, so this tool paints transparent areas white instead of leaving them black — the most common bug in other converters.

Sharp text can also soften slightly. For screenshots that must stay crisp, keep PNG or use WebP; for photos and thumbnails, JPG is the better trade.

Common cases

Upload forms with a 1MB or 2MB limit, slide decks that take forever to open, email attachments, and web pages where a 3MB screenshot ruins the load time.

FAQ

What happens to transparent areas?

They are filled with white, which is what people expect. Black backgrounds are a common bug in server-side converters.

Can I force a specific file size?

Yes. Set the target size in KB and the tool binary-searches the encoder quality, shrinking the image if it still cannot fit.
